I will stamp all over 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the pair met personally to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex twice world boxing king Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I will injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to really want to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning huge paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers participated in the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually happening.
